New News

We've had/are having a few big things happen in our lives that just can't go without getting mentioned.  Some of them are very exciting and a few not so exciting, but still worth a mention (more for comedy really).  Let me just tell you everything that's been going on in chronological order;

May 27th - New pool pump... ahhh just another reason to not enjoy pool ownership... but it sure does wear the kids out!  Either way... it helps keep the pool clean so it is pretty much a necessity. 

May 29th - Billy started a new job at Raytheon ELCAN in Richardson, Tx.  May I just brag on Billy a little... he was recruited away from his previous employer to Raytheon.  What a huge blessing in today's job market.  Not only does Billy hope to expand his night vision career but we're also hoping for a better work/life balance at what seems to be a more stable employer.

Update - According to our sources, it sounds like Billy got out of there just in the nick of time. Sadly, there are plans to layoff many of the engineers in the near future.

 

May 31st - Billy bought a new truck! He had been researching/searching for quite awhile.  Just the monday beforehand, I had told him we should wait and focus on the big events to come and then worry about the truck.  But then I found something online that was along the lines of what he wanted.  So I surprised him with a Truck Shopping Date Night!!  It was fun to be together.

June 2nd - New toilet in the guest bath!  A much needed repair that our future house guests will require. The old toilet had lived a long and well-served life... it was older than me.  Did appreciate this more than the pool pump though! But then again, it hasn't gotten too hot yet.

June 7th - NEW DAUGHTER.  If all goes as planned, Maggie Elizabeth will be here by lunchtime on Thursday.  She'll be the 6th citizen for Bruceville so it's definitely a big deal!  We are so excited to meet her and just pray that Emma adjusts well to her Big Sister Role.  We are so thankful for all the family and friends who have already offered their help.


Obviously, there are three real big events that have occured/will occur within two weeks of each other.  The others are real but just comical.  We know that there are plenty of people out there struggling and we are just humbled by our many blessings.  We cannot give enough thanks....
