Two Years Old

Well it happened... our firstborn turned 2.  She is such a blessing to us and fills our lives with so much fun.  Emma pretty much got a weekend of birthday celebrations.  On Friday (her actual birthday) we had birthday pancakes for breakfast.  We got to go to lunch with some of our cousins and she got a birthday ice cream there.  For dinner, her grandparents from Mommy's side of the family were in town so we celebrated with a fajita dinner and a cookie dessert!  We let her open her gifts from Mommy and Daddy on Friday night and she got some play-doh that entertained her for almost an hour!!

Birthday Girl

Saturday was the big party.  We decided on an Under the Sea theme a long time ago as Emma always gets excited about the aquarium, the doctor's office (who has fish), and pretty much any book/show that has fish in them.  I had a great time planning the party and think it turned out pretty successfully.  Here's some photos of the pre-party decorations.

We had the kids make foam frames and since the weather was so nice, everyone played outside.  It was so neat to see Emma running around with the older cousins.  She's growing up so fast.  I asked her the other day if she would stop growing up and just stay this size and she responded, "Okay Mommy." Love her.  Here's a video of everyone singing Happy Birthday to her and her trying out her cupcake before we took it to the kitchen. :-)

We had a great time but are so thankful for the help we had setting everything up and getting ready.  Here's a picture of my Friday night work crew!

Icing cookies and having fun!

Today (Monday) we went in for Emma's 2 Year Well Check-Up.  Here's her latest stats:

Height:  34"  (50%)
Weight:  26lb 15oz  (50%)
Head Circumference:  19.5"  (90%)

Halloween 2012

We went round and round trying to decide what to be this year... we had so much fun last year dressing up with a family theme we really wanted to do it as a family of four!  So here's what we came up with...
May The Force Be With You

Yoda's got mad skillz!

Our little Ewok

We had a great time at our church's Trunk or Treat.  It was fun to see our family there too and share in these fun memories!

After we got home, Billy was still having fun with his light saber.  We were trying to keep all the house lights off even after we got the girls to bed because our neighborhood is pretty popular for treat or treaters.

Scary Jedi :-)
