Thanksgiving 2011

This year we planned a Destination Thanksgiving with the rest of the Bruce Clan.  The brothers found and reserved a house that could fit 15 people and the ladies handled all the meal planning.  Now you might think... 15 people in one house... something is bound to happen.  But it was a great trip.  No one got sick, no one got hurt... Cousins were laughing and running around our 'compound'.  We ate like royalty with each family only having to prepare one meal with everyone pitching in for Thanksgiving.  The house was big enough so the kiddos could sleep in our rooms (or bathrooms or closets).  The only hiccup we had was not having heat or hot water after the first day due to empty propane tanks, but we got that fixed quickly with a Turkey Day propane delivery.  It really was a special time together and great memories were made.  Makes us so thankful that so many family members live so relatively close.

  2. Lake Whitney is one of our favorite places to go! I know my husband would be jealous of that Risk game! Emma loves nursery graham crackers, too ( I don't put marshmallows on the though, haha)!
