This year we were very excited about hosting Thanksgiving at our house. The last time we attempted to host, we had a 3-week old and we didn't feel like we did very much 'hosting'. Instead our sweet family basically came into town and gave us Thanksgiving. So this year we wanted to really give back and serve our family. We had three groups of visitors over the course of 5 days so it was a whirlwind, but we loved every minute of it. I spent some time planning the menu and even tried out some new recipes for our meal.
First, Courtney's Dad and Patty came into town from Austin. We love visiting with them and of course Emma loves her Granddad and Grandma. Grandma even let Emma make the pecan pie! A very serious job, if you know how much my Dad likes Pecan Pie. ;-)

Then on Thanksgiving morning, the Welch family flew in from Kansas!! And so Cousin Camp, Thanksgiving Style began! Austin and Emma had fun together and I think Emma enjoyed having someone a little bit more mobile than Maggie around. We took multiple trips to the park during their stay and enjoyed our time together.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Grandma Mitty came into town for her grandkid fix. She couldn't pass up seeing the Welch's either who live much too far away now. (my opinion of course) Mitty/Mom was able to stay in town until Monday after Thanksgiving and she spent much of her time trying to hold all three grandkids at once! haha jk.

Although it felt much too hot to be Thanksgiving, it was a wonderful time with family. We have so much to be thankful for this year... more than we deserve.
I love seeing all your family pics. Sounds like it was a fun time.
