4th of July

We celebrated 4th of July a little differently this year... having two little ones had Billy up at 7am looking up times for Duncanville's events for the day.  We rushed out the door just after 8am to go eat breakfast at a local favorite, Kim and Jenny's.  The last time Emma had eaten there she was still in the womb, so it was fun to see her face when they served her 'Mickey Mouse' pancakes!  Can you tell she loves them!?!

Then after rushing thru breakfast we walked out to Wheatland Road and met up with Grandy and Happy for the annual Duncanville 4th of July Parade!  This was the first time Billy and I had attended this and we were so glad we did.  Emma loved it!  Maggie slept thru the whole thing. :-)

After that we went home and relaxed a little bit before the family gathering that night.  What holiday is complete without an after-nap photo shoot!

Say 'Cheese'!

We finished off the day at Robert and Sandy's house with all the Bruce cousins.  Its so fun to see them running around together.  Sadly, we didn't stay for the fireworks.  Gotta get these babies to bed!  Emma was fast asleep, counting flags in her head, when we heard the Duncanville show start up.

The best shot of several of these 7... only Maggie is missing.

Pool time for the little ones!

This picture is a foreshadowing of the conversations that will soon come between these two (only 7 months apart).

What a fun family day celebrating our country's independence and giving thanks to all those who have served to keep us safe.  God Bless the USA!!
