Cousin Camp - March 2012

Ever since my sister, Meredith, and I knew we'd be having kids around the same age and that we'd both be staying home... she coined the idea of 'Cousin Camp'.  A week long, do whatever time, just hanging out, letting the kids play and of course catching up ourselves.  Sadly, our other nephew could not attend due to distance.  But we're sure Jacob wouldn't be too thrilled with what a almost 6 month old and a 17 month old are into these days.  :-)

Our first camp was in Lampasas in December.  Emma was obviously very interested in Austin, but because he was still so little, he could only give her smiles.
Emma ~ 13months, Austin ~ 2 months

We held another Cousin Camp here in Dallas.  At first, we had big plans for the kids... the zoo, bluebonnet pictures, lots of playing outside or going to the park.  Two out of three isn't so bad... We missed out on the zoo, but next time Austin will be older and much more interested anyways.  This camp was great, because Austin was really gabbing back to Emma and adored her loving.

Out of nowhere, we find out that Emma is quite the comic in the 6-8month old comedy scene.  We've never heard Austin with such belly laughs before!

Austin and family are moving to Kansas in June so the next official Cousin Camp might not be until October.  Of course, Emma has her other six (will be 7 in August) cousins in DFW to play with.  We are so blessed to have so many family members live within a relatively close distance.

  1. Cousin Camp...I love it! Jacob can be the cool camp counselor.
